Evan is toothless
Evan lost his first tooth on Friday night, August 5. Lauren has broken my camera and so I have no pictures, but he was sitting on the couch with Dave and he reached into his mouth because something was bothering him there and out came his tooth in his hand. He was shocked and then so excited! He received a gold $1 coin from the tooth fairy! I knew teeth came out at about age 6, but I didn't know it was exactly at 6! July 20 was just a few days ago. Again, no pictures, but he shared a party with his cousin Ashley who has a birthday on the 21st and they had a bouncy house and a carnival with snow cones, face painting, games and lots of balloons. We feel so lucky that Evan gets these fun experiences in his life. PS: Evan lost his other front tooth on Thursday, August 18. He is so excited!

Day out with Thomas x 6
This is our 6th Day out with Thomas! I can't believe that we have had the opportunity to go so often. This year, the big hit was the cotton candy. Bummer! I miss the times that seeing Thomas was the hit. We took a few pictures. Once again, the weather was a bit cold, but at least it didn't rain. The kids all wore their Thomas t-shirts and got new ones - an apparent tradition.

Return to California for Oranges!
We just couldn't stay away from DeMoss Ranch to pick oranges even though it is a 12 hour drive from our house for them! We took advantage of a long weekend for Evan (no school Friday or Monday) and drove to Palmdale and visited with friends, went to church and of course picked about 100 pounds of oranges! The weather couldn't have been better - 85 degrees! What a change from the 20 degree weather Salt Lake was having. We didn't even pack short sleeve shirts! We loved the smell of freshly picked oranges all the way home. It helped ease the pain of a broken DVD player and a lack of snacks which were eaten early by hungry boys!
Christmas 2010
Here are some pictures from our Christmas. We had a great time staying overnight at a nice hotel in Salt Lake and going to Temple Square to see the lights. Evan complained the whole time - what is up with that boy? - but they did get to ride the Trax train. That was fun for everyone. Then we went to my parents' cabin in Wanship. It was beautiful up there and we had Santa come and bring lots of Star Wars, Legos and Transformers. He also brought a Wii so that the boys will have something to do when Mom is at choir all the time!
